Dental School Admission

Dental school is a highly competitive program in both Canada and the USA. A good applicant needs a high GPA; above 3.8 is highly recommended but may not be enough. A high DAT score is also required. Visit the DAT section for more information on the exam. Some schools require the CASPer exam as well to assess applicant’s personality. Furthermore, to show a sense of familiarity with the field, volunteering at hospitals and shadowing dentists is highly recommended if not required. Along with great academic scores, a clean university record is very important showing that the student respects academic honesty.
